Duodenojejunal bypass (DJB) is a revolutionary metabolic operation based on the foregut theory. According to reports, DJB is a stand-alone therapy for treating diabetes in non-obese people. DJB is paired with sleeve gastrectomy in obese patients. With certain benefits, this combination of DJB and sleeve gastrectomy is offered as an appropriate alternative to ROUX-EN-Y gastric bypass (RYGB).
