Endocrinology is a field of biology and medicine that focuses on the endocrine system, disorders that affect it, and the particular hormone releases that, when out of balance, lead to obesity. The integration of developmental processes like proliferation, growth, and differentiation as well as psychological and behavioral processes like metabolism, growth, and development, tissue function, sleep, digestion, respiration, excretion, mood, and sensory perception brought on by hormones are also taken into consideration. Hormonal imbalance is a result of eating disorders. A neurosecretory neuron releases a "classical" hormone called a neuroendocrine signal into the blood. Chemicals known as endocrine disruptors have the potential to interact with the body's endocrine system
